Music Video Idea - The Proclaimers "I'm Gonna Be" - (500 Miles)

An idea for my music video that I feel will uphold originality and uniqueness is the song by The Proclaimers - 500 miles.

"I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)"
When I wake up, well, I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you
When I go out, yeah, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you
If I get drunk, well, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who gets drunk next to you
And if I haver, hey, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's havering to you

But I would walk five hundred miles
And I would walk five hundred more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

When I'm working, yes, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's working hard for you
And when the money comes in for the work I do
I'll pass almost every penny on to you
When I come home (When I come home), oh, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you
And if I grow old, well, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you

But I would walk five hundred miles
And I would walk five hundred more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

Da lat da (Da lat da), da lat da (Da lat da)
Da-da-da dun-diddle un-diddle un-diddle uh da-da
Da lat da (Da lat da), da lat da (Da lat da)
Da-da-da dun-diddle un-diddle un-diddle uh da-da

When I'm lonely, well, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's lonely without you
And when I'm dreaming, well, I know I'm gonna dream
I'm gonna dream about the time when I'm with you
When I go out (When I go out), well, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you
And when I come home (When I come home), yes, I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home with you
I'm gonna be the man who's coming home with you

But I would walk five hundred miles
And I would walk five hundred more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

Da lat da (Da lat da), da lat da (Da lat da)
Da-da-da dun-diddle un-diddle un-diddle uh da-da
Da lat da (Da lat da), da lat da (Da lat da)
Da-da-da dun-diddle un-diddle un-diddle uh da-da
Da lat da (Da lat da), da lat da (Da lat da)
Da-da-da dun-diddle un-diddle un-diddle uh da-da
Da lat da (Da lat da), da lat da (Da lat da)
Da-da-da dun-diddle un-diddle un-diddle uh da-da

And I would walk five hundred miles
And I would walk five hundred more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

The Proclaimers are a Scottish band composed of identical twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid. They are best known for the songs "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)", "Sunshine on Leith", "I'm On My Way" and "Letter from America". The band tours extensively throughout the world. They have released nine studio albums from 1987 until the present, as well as two compilation albums and a DVD. Their music to me is very unique and original and I felt that their song "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" was the perfect choice for the A2 Music Video.

The Proclaimers were actually unknown to me to begin with but came across their music on YouTube. Since then I have been doing extensive research on the type of band they are. Also without noticing their song "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" has been used in a variety of areas.

For example in the film "Pitch Perfect" which was released in 2012 in which one of the scenes the Proclaimers song was featured as a Mix-tape (below). The mix consists of David Guetta's - Titanium and the Proclaimers - 500 Miles. The Proclaimers song being featured within this hit film made a major impact on them as a band and allowed them to become more known across the globe.

There was even a Chipmunk version of the song on YouTube which was featured on a console game. (below). This also made The Proclaimers become more known musically as their hit song 500 Miles was being featured in a variety of different places.

The Proclaimers were even used in an advertisement for the major brand Tesco's! in which featured during Christmas 2012. (Below) Although the Proclaimers are not mainstream their hit song has been featured in different areas - Music, Film, Gaming and even TV Ads. The song is fun and lively which allows me to be able to be have a variety of different ideas in my Music Video.
